Happy New Year guys. It is freaking 2016…I am still in awe that we entered a new year already. How did 2015 go by so quickly? Well it did, and so many of you probably have new year resolutions, goals and great expectations for this year. I on the other hand do not have any resolutions this year. It is the first time I did not make one, not because I never stick to them, lol, but only because I have decided to allow my Christian beliefs guide me through the year.
Last year was a really hard year for me even though I went on great adventures. I think I survived it because of my faith, husband, my family and the great friends that surround me. I worried so much in 2015 about the many things I did not carry out, it got me feeling stressed and at times cranky. I also let go of some friends leaving me with a much smaller circle of friends. I guess that happens as you grow older, you change, they change and your priorities shift. As we entered 2016, I felt at peace with it, because sometimes it really is ok to let go of some people in your life in order for you to be a better you. But one thing I am most glad about was starting this blog. It has been an ultimate stress reliever for me. I find it relaxing sharing my style with you and giving you guys great inspirations on what to wear and where to wear what to. So this year, if I have any resolutions at all, it would be to LET GO AND LET GOD. Now this is going to be very hard for me to do since I am sort of control freak lol (in a good way). I am planner, I hate life surprises. I like to know whats happening, where it is happening and when it is happening. When I can’t seem to figure life out, I get very stressed but thank God for my husband who takes everything in good faith. He is an amazing support system for me and I could not possibly think of who can carry me all through the bumpy rides. I am letting go this year, I choose to have fun in 2016, be strong in my faith, go on many adventures with my partner in crime, and most importantly worry less and trust more. I really want to do that this year and feel liberated.
Now don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against resolutions after all I always made a few each new year. If you have any new year resolutions, I urge you to follow them through, but do not beat yourself when life happens and take a blurry turn. Take a breather from all of life’s crazy and do not forget to enjoy life. Nonetheless, I would still make a few plans that are within my control but I am not going to stress over them. So expect fun posts on the blog all through 2016. Did you make new year resolutions? Please do share with me. In the meantime enjoy this casual outfit post. Outfit details below.
